Auch unangemeldet wurde ich bei meinem 3. Besuch Mitte August 2011 von Mrs. Rogers freundlich begrüßt und durfte mich in dem sehenswerten Bambusgarten den ganzen Tag umschauen.
Carwinion Gardens liegt am Rande des Dorfes Mawnan Smith, in der Nähe Falmouth in Cornwall, UK. In dem alten Herrenhaus besteht auch die Möglichkeit zur Übernachtung.

Mawnan Smith is a small village about 4 miles from Falmouth and there are many lovely, quiet beaches.
The Red Lion pub in Mawnan Smith offers all manner of refreshment including real ales and gourmet food. There is also a well-stocked convenience food store.
Nearby Falmouth is a magnificent natural harbour which is host to the National Maritime Museum Cornwall.
Carwinion House is 14 miles from Truro, which has larger shops along with many independent retailers, and of course the beautiful Truro Cathedral. You can go get to Truro by road or by boat from Falmouth. Lands End. Penzance, and St Ives are also easily accessible. Not forgetting the Eden Project at St Austell. There are also excellent golf courses nearby.

2006 mit 3 Halmen gepflanzt. Bereits 2008 mit 16 neuen Halmen bis 4 m Höhe ein stattliches Exemplar.
Die abgebildete Pflanze bei Nürnberg ist im Winter 2008/2009 komplett erfroren.
